Solivagant is a series which attempts to tell the story of a man who seemingly, nobody recognised or knew. By retracing his final journey, the series explores connection and belonging to place, whilst treading the fine line between fact and fiction.
In December 2015 the body of a man was found lying just off a track up from Dovestones Reservoir in the Peak District. With no clues to the mans identity, he was given the name Neil Dovestones, whilst the police continued to investigate. 13 months after the discovery of his body, he was reunited with his real name and identity.
